The Origin of Essential Oils
The known history of Essential Oils dates back to at least 5000 years ago. In Ancient Egypt the use of essential oils was commonplace. Surrounding the Nile River in Egypt there was fertile soil that thrived and was the source of life throughout Africa. The kingdom grew throughout the Nile Delta and was the lead in technological advancements, power, and wealth in that time. Some of the first known writings of agriculture, central government and urbanization are found there. One of the first recognized writings of ancient healers was Ebers Papyrus, these papers date back to 1,500 B.C and included information about ceremonies and recipes.
How do you use them?
There are many options for using essential oils, they are almost endless! For sicknesses, it is commonly known to use them in a hot bath, via steam inhalation, or as a compress. Some people rub these oils on their chest or neck to treat a common cold. Oil diffusers are becoming more and more popular these days for vaporizing your essential oils. For a household cleaning product, you can add 3 drops of lemon and tea tree oil to warm water to create a natural cleaning solution. There are many guides online for recipes and additional ways to use your essential oils. These essential oils are proven to be one of the eldest and most effective medicines in science and spirituality.
